The Weekend Downtown Belongs to Jazz — and Patti LaBelle
For three days this weekend, downtown San Jose stops being a place you drive through and becomes a place the whole region drives to. San Jose Jazz Summer Fest runs Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, spilling multiple stages across Plaza de César Chávez and the surrounding blocks, and this year's bill is deep enough to make the "nothing happens in San Jose" crowd eat their words with a side of gumbo.
