Who we are

On at 8 is a network of local live-music pages published by TourCntrl. Stories are bylined the On at 8 Staff. Every story is read and approved by an editor before it goes live.

How we use AI

Many stories bylined the On at 8 Staff are drafted with AI from our show listings and from sources we link at the end of each story, which carries an “AI-assisted” label. An editor checks every one against the venue’s or artist’s own announcements and approves it before it publishes. AI never invents a show, a quote or a person; when something can’t be confirmed, it is left out.

Who is accountable

On at 8 Standards Editor answers for what we publish. Write to corrections@onat8.com about anything we got wrong. We aim to reply within 2 business days.

Corrections

Every story has a “Report an error” link. When a fact is wrong we fix it and add a dated correction note to the top of the story saying what changed. We do not quietly rewrite published facts.

Retractions

When a story is wrong at its core, we retract it. It comes off every page and feed, and its address shows a retraction notice explaining why, in place of the story.

Takedown requests

If you represent a venue or artist named in a story, use “Request a takedown” on that story, or write to corrections@onat8.com. Tell us who you are and why. An editor reviews every request and replies; we correct, retract or explain why the story stands.
