Capital A'Fair puts the music on the statehouse lawn this weekend
There is something quietly perfect about a music-and-art fair held on the grounds of a state capitol, and Bismarck gets to do exactly that this weekend. Capital A'Fair returns to the North Dakota Capitol grounds Saturday and Sunday, August 1–2, with more than 130 artisans, food, kids' activities, and — the part that concerns us — a rolling schedule of live music and performing-arts groups spread across the lawn.
Let's be clear about what this is. Capital A'Fair is an arts-and-crafts festival first; the music is texture rather than headliner. You will not find a marquee touring act here.
