Every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., from May 29 through August 28, the Downtown Chico Business Association runs its Friday Night Concerts in City Plaza — a no-cover, bring-the-kids, spread-a-blanket institution that is arguably the most democratic live music in town. Tomorrow, Jul 31, the plaza stage belongs to Heirloom.
The beauty of a series like this is the programming's stubborn localism.
