Ruby Waters brings SUPPRE$$IONS to Crescent Ballroom in March

Her first Phoenix show since an October 2024 date at The Rebel Lounge is set for Thursday, March 11, 2027, behind her second album.

Ruby Waters last played Phoenix on October 23, 2024, at The Rebel Lounge. That was less than five months after her debut album came out. When she comes back in March, she'll have a second album to play, and a bigger stage to play it on: Crescent Ballroom, which our listings put at 550 capacity.

Ruby Waters plays Crescent Ballroom on Thursday, March 11, 2027, at 8 p.m. The date was announced Oct. 19, and tickets are through See Tickets.

The debut was What's The Point, which came out May 31, 2024, according to BeatRoute. The follow-up is SUPPRE$$IONS, her sophomore album, out via Wet Records. BeatRoute writes that she poured her feelings into it.

The first look at the new record came in October. Beats Per Minute premiered the lead single, "Pay As You Go," on Oct. 9, under a headline saying the song examines the weight of financial burdens. That's a specific, everyday subject for a lead single, and it gives a sense of where the album is pointed. Spill Magazine has also covered her single "Sour Patch."

So the arc between the two Phoenix dates is clear. In October 2024 she was on the road with a debut that was only a few months old. In March 2027 she'll be on the road with a second album about the weight of money and feeling, and she'll be playing it in a room our data rates at 550.

There's no support act listed for the Phoenix date yet. That may fill in closer to the show, so check the ticket page before you go.

For local fans, the appeal is timing. Second-album tours are where an artist's audience either grows or holds steady, and a Thursday night at Crescent Ballroom is a fair test of which way it's going in Phoenix. The people who saw her at The Rebel Lounge in 2024 already know what she does live. March is when they find out what she's done since.
