Friday, July 10, the tempo picks up when Broke String Burnett takes over, with Ghost Roper and Christian Carlos Carvajal filling out the night. It's a scrappier, rowdier proposition than Thursday — the flip side of the same songwriter coin, more roadhouse than reading room.
Then Sunday, July 12, David Tribble closes the run. Tribble's one of those North Texas names that keeps turning up on the right bills, and a Sunday-night Post show is about as unhurried a way to end a weekend as this city offers.

While the Stockyards chases national country and the Southside chases touring rock, this little spot on Race Street just quietly books Texas songwriters night after night after night — and trusts that a couple hundred people will show up to actually listen. In an era of phones-up, talk-over-the-ballad crowds, a room that still rewards a whispered verse is a small miracle worth protecting.
The economics help. A 200-cap room means the touring songwriter gets a real door, the fan gets a real sightline, and nobody's watching the show on a jumbotron. It's the anti-arena, and it's thriving three and four nights a week in a summer when the big rooms are dark half the time.
